NASA Engineer's Closet Voiceover Side Hustle Earns ₹30.5 Lakh Monthly
A woman named Eryn works as an engineer for NASA during the day.
At night, she does a different job: she reads words aloud for videos and phone messages.
She records her voice in a small closet that she made quiet with mattress foam.
She started this after her divorce because she wanted extra money to buy her daughter ice cream.
She spent only $200 to learn and buy a microphone.
Soon, her voice job started making more money than her NASA job.
Now she earns over two hundred thousand dollars a year from her voice work.
She uses the money to travel, buy a car, and save for her daughter's college.
She works only a few hours each week on her voice job.
Eryn Andrews, a NASA human performance engineer at Johnson Space Center, works as a voiceover artist from a closet sound booth.
She started the side hustle after a divorce left her struggling to spare $200 for her daughter.
Her 2026 voiceover earnings already exceed $227,000 (₹2.16 crore), surpassing her six-figure NASA salary.
She earns roughly $32,400 (₹30.5 lakh) per month, working 1-8 hours weekly for clients like Coca-Cola, PetSmart, and Apple.
She began with a $200 investment in a voiceover class, microphone, and mattress topper, finding gigs on Fiverr.
