KTR warns Telangana government over Jurala crop water shortage

KTR warns Telangana government over Jurala crop water shortage

KTR said farmers near the Jurala Project are not receiving enough water for their crops.

He said water is available in the reservoir but is not being released.

He blamed the Telangana government if any farmer’s crop dries up.

KTR also said Telangana has used only a small part of the Krishna River water available to it this year.

He accused the government of letting Andhra Pradesh draw water while Telangana farmers suffer.

He criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over the situation.

KTR asked officials to switch on motors connected to two irrigation projects.

He warned that his party would organize large protests if the government does not act.
