Karnataka, Goa Clash Over Mahadayi River Project
Imagine two states, Karnataka and Goa, wanting to use water from the same river.
Karnataka wants to build something to use the water, but Goa doesn't want them to.
The Goa leader said the central government wouldn't let Karnataka build it.
But Karnataka's leader is angry and said the Goa leader is wrong and will continue with the project.
He says they have already decided how much water each state gets, and it's time to start building.
He plans to talk to the central government and all the people who represent Karnataka to get the project moving forward.
Karnataka Deputy CM Shivakumar responded to Goa CM's remarks on the Mahadayi river project.
Shivakumar stated Karnataka will proceed with the project, calling Goa CM's comments as 'losing his mental balance'.
The Goa CM had claimed the Centre would not approve the Mahadayi project and planned a contempt petition.
Shivakumar announced he will meet Karnataka MPs and seek time from Union Ministers to discuss the issue.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also criticized Goa CM's remarks, calling them an 'insult' to Karnataka.
