E20 Fuel Debate Heats Up with Celebrity Concerns
There's a big discussion happening in India about E20 petrol, which is a type of fuel that has ethanol mixed in it.
Some people, including actor Naresh Vijaya Krishna, who is the stepbrother of famous actor Mahesh Babu, are saying that this new fuel is causing problems for their cars.
Naresh shared on social media that his Porsche car and his friend's Toyota Camry had issues after using E20 petrol.
He had to switch to a more expensive type of petrol called high octane petrol, which costs ₹165 per litre.
He also suggested that India should slowly introduce ethanol-based fuels, like Brazil did, instead of doing it all at once.
There have been court cases where car owners won because their cars were damaged by E20 petrol.
The government says there's no proof that E20 petrol damages cars, but many people are still worried.
Actor Naresh Vijaya Krishna expressed concerns about E20 petrol damaging his Porsche Panamera and other vehicles.
He claimed that his friend's Toyota Camry required engine valve replacements costing ₹3.5 lakhs due to E20 petrol.
Naresh switched to high octane petrol costing ₹165 per litre to avoid issues with his car.
He criticized the BJP government for hastily implementing E20 petrol and suggested a phased approach like Brazil's.
A court recently ordered a replacement for a Maruti Grand Vitara SUV that faced issues due to E20 petrol.
