Gurgaon Metro Phase 2: Ground Study Underway
Imagine building a new train track in Gurgaon!
Before they start building the actual track, they're doing a 'ground study' to check the soil and make sure it's safe.
This is for the second part of the new train line, connecting the old part of the city to the business areas.
They're checking a long stretch of land, and this study will take about two months once they've picked the company to do it.
This new line will help people get around easier and will also make it easier to get to the train station.
Another group is also planning a different train line to help with traffic.
GMRL has initiated ground studies for Phase 2 of a new metro corridor in Gurgaon.
The study will assess a 16km stretch from Sector 9 to Cyber City, including a spur to Gurgaon railway station.
The project aims to connect old Gurgaon with commercial areas and improve railway station access.
The geotechnical investigation will begin after the tender is finalized and is expected to take two months.
Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation Limited is planning a separate 17km metro line from Bhondsi to Gurgaon railway station.
