JNPA Sets Record with 7.94 Million Containers in 2025

Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) in India had a very successful year in 2025.

They handled a record number of big containers, called TEUs, which was 7.94 million.

This is a lot more than the 7.05 million they handled in 2024, showing a big increase of 12.64%.

The busiest month was December, with 7,11,412 TEUs.

Overall, the port moved 99.17 million metric tonnes of cargo, which is 9.86% more than before.

The growth is partly because they expanded one of their terminals, called PSA Mumbai, which can now handle even more containers.

The head of JNPA, Gaurav Dayal, said this shows that there is steady demand and better teamwork between the port, shipping companies, and service providers.
