Rajasthan Royals to Shift IPL 2026 Home Matches from Jaipur
The Rajasthan Royals cricket team will not play their home matches in Jaipur for the 2026 IPL season.
Instead, they will play some games in Pune and Guwahati.
The reason is that the stadium in Jaipur does not meet safety rules, and there are problems with the people who run cricket in Rajasthan.
The team and the stadium officials have had disagreements in the past, and the cricket board in India has said that Jaipur cannot host IPL matches until these issues are fixed.
The Pune stadium, which used to host IPL matches, has not been used for the tournament in the last three years.
The Rajasthan Royals are likely to finalize the deal with the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) to use the MCA Stadium in Pune for their home games.
Rajasthan Royals will play their home matches in Pune and Guwahati for IPL 2026 instead of Jaipur.
The shift is due to the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur failing to meet evacuation safety norms.
The Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) is facing governance issues, with pending elections and ad-hoc committee management.
The BCCI has stated that Jaipur will remain ineligible for IPL matches until the RCA resolves its governance crisis.
The MCA Stadium in Pune, last used for IPL in 2022, will host some of RR's home games.
