A company in Hyderabad, VEM Technologies, gave the first completed middle part (fuselage) for the Tejas Mk1A fighter jet to HAL.

This is a big step for making things in India, as the government wants to make more defense products at home.

HAL already has two lines for the Tejas and one in Nashik.

VEM is also making other parts for the jet, and they will have a new robot-assisted setup ready by the end of 2025.
