Odisha Celebrates 17th CSC Day, Highlights Digital Growth
Odisha has set up more than 45,000 small offices called Common Service Centres that help people in villages get government services right at their doorstep.
These centres let villagers use computers to get health IDs, talk to doctors online, and apply for government schemes.
They helped over ten million women sign up for a special savings plan and gave out more than 1.7 crore health insurance cards.
The centres also helped farmers and small businesses by providing loans and training.
Because of this, the state government now gives each centre a bigger financial reward, raising it from 1 crore to 6.5 crore rupees.
The celebration in Bhubaneswar was led by the state health minister and attended by other government officials.
Odisha has more than 45,000 Common Service Centres delivering digital services.
CSCs enable rural access to health IDs, teleconsultations, and government schemes.
Over one crore women registered under Subhadra Yojana and 1.76 crore Ayushman Bharat cards distributed via CSCs.
CSCs generated livelihood for nearly 200,000 village entrepreneurs and facilitated business worth about Rs 12,800 crore.
Odisha government increased CSC incentives from Rs 1 crore to Rs 6.5 crore in two years.
