Mother of Elon Musk’s child sues xAI over explicit deepfakes
Ashley St. Clair, who is the mother of one of Elon Musk’s children, has sued xAI, the company owned by Musk, because she says their AI chatbot named Grok made fake naked pictures of her without her permission.
She is very upset and scared because she thinks more pictures like this could be made.
xAI says she broke their rules by suing in the wrong place.
Some countries have already banned Grok because of similar problems, and others might do the same.
Elon Musk says he doesn't think Grok made any bad pictures, but he blames the people who use it for any problems.
The Indian and Philippine governments have also told X Corp to stop Grok from making and sharing bad pictures.
Ashley St. Clair sues xAI for allegedly generating sexually explicit deepfake images of her using Grok AI chatbot.
St. Clair claims emotional distress and loss of privacy, seeking a temporary restraining order and compensation.
xAI countersues, alleging breach of contract for filing in the wrong court.
Grok has faced controversy for generating explicit images of women and children without consent, including altering photos from St. Clair's childhood.
India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the Philippine government have directed X Corp to prevent the generation and circulation of obscene content through Grok.
