Nobel Committees Send Final Prize Recommendations to Awarding Institutions
A Nobel Committee helps decide who should be considered for a prize.
By September, it writes a report about its recommendations.
The report names candidates for that particular prize.
It is sent to the institution that awards the prize.
That institution makes the final choice.
The Nobel Foundation does not make that final decision.
Different prizes have designated awarding institutions.
By September, the relevant Nobel Committee prepares a report.
The committee recommends candidates for the particular Nobel Prize.
The report goes to the institution responsible for awarding that prize.
The designated prize-awarding institution makes the final decision.
The Nobel Foundation itself does not make the final award decision.
