72nd National Film Awards Honor Winners With Cash Prizes

The 72nd National Film Awards were presented on September 22, 2026.

President Droupadi Murmu gave the awards at a ceremony in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat.

This was the first time in 72 years that the ceremony was held outside Delhi.

The film Article 370 won Best Feature Film.

Mammootty and Kartik Aaryan shared the Best Actor award.

Yami Gautam won Best Actress for Article 370.

Anant Nag received a special lifetime contribution award.

Different award categories come with different cash prizes, including Rs.15 lakh for the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
