India and Sri Lanka Navies Begin Maritime Exercise

India and Sri Lanka are holding a joint naval exercise called SLINEX-26.

It is taking place in Visakhapatnam from September 17 to 21.

Ships from both countries are participating.

The exercise began with activities in the harbour.

Sailors are meeting, visiting each other’s ships and sharing ways to work better together.

They are also taking part in yoga, sports and cultural activities.

The next part will happen at sea with coordinated naval activities.

The exercise is intended to build trust and improve cooperation between the two navies.
