Brain-Dead Georgia Woman Honored at Funeral After Abortion Law Case
Adriana Smith, a nurse in Georgia, unfortunately became brain-dead.
Because of Georgia's abortion law, which bans abortions after six weeks of pregnancy, doctors had to keep her body alive on machines so her baby could be born.
This meant she couldn't be taken off life support even though she was no longer conscious.
Her baby was born early and is now in the hospital.
A funeral was held for Adriana, and her family and friends came to say goodbye.

Smith was nine weeks pregnant when she collapsed and was found to have multiple blood clots in her brain.
