Uttar Pradesh Appoints 40 Pollution Control Board Officers

Uttar Pradesh Appoints 40 Pollution Control Board Officers

Uttar Pradesh has chosen 40 new officers to work for its Pollution Control Board.

These officers will help monitor pollution and protect the environment.

There are 26 environmental engineers and 14 scientific officers.

The government changed the hiring process so that written test results mattered more than interviews.

The written test counted for 85 percent of the selection score, while interviews counted for 15 percent.

Twenty-one officers studied at IITs, and eight are women.

Before starting field work, all the officers will receive one month of training.

The government says this training will help them understand their jobs and real-world environmental challenges.
