Gujarat to Host Supermoon Watch Events November 4-6
Imagine the Moon is like a ball on a string, and the string is a bit wobbly, making the ball sometimes closer and sometimes farther away.
When the Moon is both full and at its closest point to Earth, it looks super big and bright in the sky!
This special event is called a Supermoon.
To help people see this amazing sight, a science group in Gujarat, India, is setting up special watch parties.
These parties will happen on the evenings of November 4th, 5th, and 6th, so everyone in Gujarat can look up and enjoy the brightest and biggest Supermoon of the year.
Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST) is organizing Supermoon Watch events.
The events will take place on the evenings of November 4-6.
These programs aim to observe the brightest and biggest Supermoon of the year.
A Supermoon occurs when the Moon is full and closest to Earth in its orbit.
Events will be held across all districts of Gujarat through GUJCOST's regional and community science centers.
