NCSSR Holds Ethical Committee Meeting to Strengthen Sports Science Research
The National Centre for Sports Science and Research (NCSSR) is starting to make sure all its research on athletes is done in a very ethical way.
They held a meeting with a special group of experts to create rules for how to do research.
This group will oversee all projects to protect athletes and make sure research is fair and safe.
They talked about how to get permission from athletes, protect their information, and ensure the research doesn't hurt them.
The goal is to do sports science research responsibly and with care.
NCSSR, under SAI, held the inaugural meeting of its Institutional Ethical Committee (IEC) on July 18.
The meeting aimed to formalize ethical practices for sports science research involving human participants.
The IEC includes members from premier institutes and government bodies, chaired by Prof. Jugal Kishore.
Discussions focused on standardizing ethical protocols, participant welfare, and scientific integrity.
The committee reviewed procedures for research project submission and discussed ethical considerations.
