RBI to Implement Faster Cheque Clearance System in Two Phases
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is making cheque processing much faster.
Currently, it takes up to two working days for a cheque to clear, but this is changing.

After January 3, 2026, it will be even faster, with a three-hour turnaround.
