The Orange Gate–Marine Drive tunnel in Mumbai is being changed so that it ends at Girgaon instead of Marine Drive.

This big tunnel project, costing Rs 8,056 crore, will help cars and other vehicles move more easily from the east side of the city to the west side.

Right now, people driving from the Eastern Freeway to the western coast have to go through very busy and slow roads.

The new tunnel will go under these busy areas and some old buildings, making the trip faster and easier.

The tunnel will start at Orange Gate and come up near Charni Road station.

The work on the tunnel is about to start soon.
