PM Internship Scheme 2025: Low Completion Rates
The Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme (PMIS) had a lot of interest from students.
Over 6.21 lakh applications were received for more than 1.27 lakh internship openings.
However, only 28,141 offers were accepted, and just 2,066 internships were completed.
The internships last 12 months, and the completion dates are between November 2025 and March 2026.
The low completion rate shows that many students who applied did not end up finishing the internship.
Over 6.21 lakh applications were received for 1.27 lakh internship openings under the PMIS pilot project.
82,077 offers were made, but only 28,141 were accepted by candidates.
As of November 30, 2023, only 2,066 candidates have completed their internships.
The internship duration is 12 months, with completion timelines stretching from November 2025 to March 2026.
