High Court Rejects Swimmer's Plea
A man who took a test to become a sub-inspector in the swimming category was disqualified because he didn't score enough marks.
He said it was too cold on the day of the test, which made it hard for him to swim fast.
But the court said no, all the candidates had to take the test in the same pool on the same day, and the rules can't be changed after the test is over.
The court also said the test was fair and no one was treated differently.
So, the man's request to be given a job was not accepted.
A sub-inspector candidate was disqualified for not scoring the minimum marks in the swimming test.
He blamed the cold weather on December 31 for his poor performance.
The court dismissed his plea, stating no discrimination or rule violation occurred.
The court noted that all candidates took the test under the same conditions.
The candidate's performance was 30.30 seconds for a 50m breaststroke, 2.05 seconds over the required time.
