Har Ghar Tiranga: Step-by-step guide to join India's flag campaign
The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is a special idea from the Government of India.
It asks people to bring the Indian national flag, called the Tiranga, into their homes.
Putting up the flag shows love and pride for the country.
Joining is completely voluntary, so only people who want to take part do so.
First, you need a flag that follows the official rules.
Then you can display it somewhere nice, like your home or workplace.
You can take a photo of yourself or your family with the flag.
If you want, you can visit the official campaign website and upload your photo.
But you do not have to register online to be part of the campaign.
The most important thing is to treat the flag with respect, keep it clean, and never throw it on the ground.
Har Ghar Tiranga is a Government of India initiative encouraging citizens to display the national flag in homes, offices and other appropriate places as a symbol of national pride.
The campaign was launched as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative and has evolved into a public participation drive.
To participate, citizens should get a compliant flag, hoist or display it respectfully, take a photograph, and visit the official campaign portal for current participation options.
Registration and uploading a Tiranga selfie or photograph on the official portal are available during the active campaign period, but online registration is not required to display the flag.
Citizens must follow the Flag Code of India, treat the flag with dignity, and dispose of flags respectfully after Independence Day rather than discarding them on roads or in public places.
