Bengal SSC chief promises early completion of teacher recruitment
In the Indian state of West Bengal, a special office hires teachers for schools.
A new leader, Dushyant Nariala, started running this office.
He said the office will finish hiring teachers as soon as possible.
Everyone must be hired fairly, by following the rules and the court's orders.
So far, nearly 15,000 people have been checked out of about 39,000 open teaching spots.
The office also finished hiring 1,177 people from an older teacher recruitment round.
It sent letters to hire 308 special teachers who help children with disabilities.
Some hiring decisions are waiting on the Supreme Court, the highest court in India.
The office will share all news about hiring on its website.
That helps keep the process fair, open, and easy to check.
Newly appointed WBSSC chairman Dushyant Nariala said efforts are on to complete the teacher recruitment process at the earliest, with appointments made strictly according to commission rules and court orders.
Under the 2025 teacher recruitment process, nearly 15,000 candidates have undergone verification out of around 39,000 vacancies.
Recruitment for the remaining 1,177 candidates from the 2016 upper-primary exercise has been completed.
Letters have been issued for 308 special educators, while higher secondary recommendation letters scheduled for August 14 face uncertainty.
New member Swami Atmapriyananda said several recruitment cases are pending before the Supreme Court, and all updates will be published on the commission's website to ensure transparency.
