Govt Focuses on Sustainable Livelihoods Through Grassroots Skilling
The government had a big meeting in Pune to talk about teaching people in rural and tribal areas useful skills.
They want to make sure that these skills help people get jobs or start their own businesses.
More than 34 lakh people have been trained, and most of them are women.
The meeting also talked about how to use money from banks to help these people start their own businesses.
They also discussed using computers and artificial intelligence to teach these skills better.
The goal is to help people, especially women and those who are not very educated, to have better lives and jobs.
The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) concluded a two-day conference in Pune focusing on grassroots skilling for sustainable livelihoods.
Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS) has trained over 34 lakh beneficiaries, with over 83% being women, as of December 2025.
The conference emphasized strengthening employability, entrepreneurship, and livelihood outcomes through modernizing traditional skills and scaling success stories.
Experts from NIESBUD and Symbiosis Skill and Professional University conducted sessions on employability skills and entrepreneurship development.
