Bhatti Vikramarka Visits QuantumScape HQ, Pushes India-US Battery Collaboration
A leader from India visited a company in the United States that makes special new batteries.
His name is Bhatti Vikramarka, and he is a Deputy Chief Minister.
The company is called QuantumScape, and it is working on next-generation solid-state lithium-metal batteries.
These batteries can store more energy, charge faster, and are safer than the batteries used today in phones and electric cars.
The leader met the company's president and chief executive, Dr Siva Sivaram.
They talked about how India and the company could work together on battery technology and manufacturing.
They also discussed the materials needed to make batteries and how they connect with electric vehicles.
India wants to bring next-generation battery technology to its own factories in the future.
The leader invited the company to explore working with India, including the region called Telangana.
The visit was a step toward future cooperation between the two sides.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka visited QuantumScape's headquarters in San Jose, California, on Monday.
He held high-level talks with QuantumScape president and CEO Dr Siva Sivaram and senior leadership.
Discussions focused on next-generation solid-state lithium-metal battery technology and collaboration with India's advanced-manufacturing ecosystem.
Solid-state batteries promise higher energy density, faster charging, and improved safety compared to conventional lithium-ion cells.
Bhatti invited QuantumScape to explore deeper engagement with India, including Telangana's emerging industrial and innovation corridors.
