Her sister Khushi returned from JEE classes on Tuesday night and found the apartment door locked.

After others helped open the door, Khooshbu was found hanging from a ceiling fan.

She was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

Police said they did not find a note explaining what happened.

Police said she may have been worried about her earlier score of about 450 marks, but the exact reason is not known.

Officials also said the fan did not have an anti-hanging device, and the case was the eighth reported coaching-student suicide in Kota since January.
