Qatargate Scandal Rocks Netanyahu Government
Qatargate is a big scandal in Israel involving some of the prime minister's top aides.
They are accused of taking money from Qatar to make Qatar look good and of leaking secret information to a German newspaper.
Some people, like a former prime minister, say this is very serious and want a full investigation.
The current prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, says the allegations are not true and are just politics.
There are also calls for him to resign because of these serious accusations.
Amichai Chikli, an Israeli minister, called for a full investigation into Qatargate allegations involving top aides of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Former prime minister Naftali Bennett labeled the allegations as the most serious act of treason in Israeli history and called for Netanyahu to resign.
Qatargate involves allegations that Netanyahu's aides accepted funds from Qatar to promote its image and fabricated information.
Eli Feldstein, a former spokesperson, admitted to leaking classified information to the German tabloid Bild to influence public opinion on hostage deals.
Netanyahu denies the allegations, calling them baseless and politically motivated, and accuses Bennett of recycling lies.
