Air India A350 Resumes Flights After Engine Damage
An Air India Airbus A350 plane had a problem at the Delhi airport.
While it was moving to its parking spot, it accidentally sucked in a cargo box that was left on the ground.
This damaged the plane's engine.
The plane was supposed to go to New York but had to return to Delhi.
Air India is fixing the plane and expects it to fly again in about three weeks.
They are checking the damage and getting parts from the companies that made the engine.
The people who take care of the planes on the ground are also being checked to see if they did something wrong.
The plane's insurance company might ask the ground handling company to pay for some of the damage.
An Air India Airbus A350 suffered engine damage after ingesting a cargo container while taxiing in Delhi.
The aircraft was en route to New York but had to return to Delhi due to the incident.
Air India is replacing the damaged engine and sourcing parts from Rolls-Royce and Collins Aerospace.
The DGCA is investigating the incident and checking the training of ground personnel involved.
The aircraft is expected to resume service in two to three weeks, with Air India using a Boeing 777 for affected routes in the meantime.
