Karnataka Health Minister Addresses Kyasanur Forest Disease Outbreak

Karnataka Health Minister Addresses Kyasanur Forest Disease Outbreak

Imagine a sickness called Kyasanur Forest Disease, or 'monkey fever', is spreading in some parts of Karnataka, India.

It's spread by tiny bugs called ticks.

Some people have gotten sick, and sadly, two people have passed away.

The health minister called a special meeting with doctors and helpers.

They talked about how to catch the sickness faster and how to help people who get sick.

They are going to count the monkeys and humans who pass away to keep track.

They will also give free medicine and even free rides in an ambulance to the hospital.

To keep people safe, they are giving out a special spray to keep the ticks away.

The doctors are also trying to find a way to make a special shot, like a vaccine, to stop this sickness forever.

Even though there's no cure yet, everyone is working together to stop it from spreading.
