Minister Demands Jagan's Assembly Attendance
A minister in Andhra Pradesh, Kolusu Parthasarathy, said that Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy should come to the state's Assembly to talk about his feelings and ideas instead of talking from outside.
The minister said that Jagan should not criticize the capital city, Amaravati, without being part of the discussions in the Assembly.
He also said that many farmers gave land for Amaravati, and it's a special thing that happened.
The minister accused Jagan of changing his mind about Amaravati and wasting time with his plan for three capitals.
He also said that during Jagan's time as chief minister, peaceful protests were stopped by the police.
The minister mentioned that big cities like London and Washington D.C. are also on riverbanks, so Amaravati's location is good.
Meanwhile, Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy dismissed YSRCP's allegations about the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Scheme (RLIS) as baseless and accused them of playing politics.
He suggested that YSRCP visit Somasila reservoir like tourists and not disrupt law and order.
The government also plans to take up repair works of Somasila dam in a phased manner and accused YSRCP of not addressing Annamayya dam repairs.
Information minister Kolusu Parthasarathy demands Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy attend Assembly sessions.
Parthasarathy criticizes Jagan for staying away from democratic debate on Amaravati's development.
Nearly 29,000 farmers voluntarily pooled 33,000 acres of land for Amaravati.
Parthasarathy alleges Jagan betrayed public trust by destroying the Amaravati capital project.
