India Re-elected to ICAO Council for 2025-2028 Term
India has been chosen again to be on the ICAO Council, a group that helps make flying safe and fair for everyone.
This is like getting re-elected to a special club for countries that help with air travel.
The election happened in September.
India has been part of this club for a very long time and works hard to improve flying for everyone.
India also promised to keep making air travel safe, help more people travel by air, and use new technology.
The government is also working to help other countries.
India was re-elected to the ICAO Council with a stronger mandate.
The election took place during the 42nd ICAO Assembly Session in Montreal.
India is a founding member of ICAO and has been on the Council for 81 years.
India will focus on safety, security, sustainability, and promoting equitable growth.
The Ministry of External Affairs supported India's re-election through diplomatic outreach.
