Trump appeals to Supreme Court over blocked White House complex
President Trump wants to build a special military building at the White House, the place where the American president lives and works.
He says it will keep the president and other people safe.
A group of judges said the building should not be built for now.
Trump and one judge named Neomi Rao disagree with that decision.
Judge Rao said the people who complained should not have been allowed to stop the building.
Trump says the project is very important for keeping the country safe.
He is going to ask the highest court in the country, the Supreme Court, to let him keep building.
He says the building will have bomb shelters, a hospital, and strong walls that can stop bullets.
Trump also says the work is on time and not costing taxpayers money.
He hopes the Supreme Court will change the judges' decision.
Trump said his administration will immediately appeal to the US Supreme Court after an appellate court ruled against construction of a military and security complex at the White House.
Two appellate judges voted against what Trump called a 'desperately needed Military Center' vital for national security.
Judge Neomi Rao's dissent argued the district court lacked jurisdiction because the plaintiff Trust had no standing to halt construction.
The project reportedly includes bomb shelters, a hospital, top-secret military installations, drone-proof ceilings and missile-resistant steel.
Trump called the ruling politically motivated and unlawful, saying the decision has been stayed and construction should continue.
