Bhiwandi Building Collapse: 9 Dead, 5 Lakh Aid Announced
A building in Bhiwandi fell down on Thursday night, killing nine people and hurting three others.
The state minister, Girish Mahajan, went to the site on Friday and said the government would help the families.
He promised each family would get 5 lakh rupees and that the injured would get good medical care.
He also told people in a nearby building to leave because it might be unsafe.
The government is looking into whether the building was fixed without proper permission, which might have caused the collapse.
