Shah Sets Madhya Pradesh Dairy Target of 50 Crore Litres

At a cattle rearers’ gathering in Bhopal, Shah called for modern infrastructure and scientific cattle-breed improvement.
He said a scheme to help farmers earn from cow dung would be introduced in Madhya Pradesh.
Projects launched or inaugurated included a 255-crore-rupee milk plant in Ujjain, a 40,000-litre-per-day dairy plant and a central dairy laboratory in Bhopal, and strengthening work at a mini dairy plant in Shivpuri.
The programme provided 101 crore rupees in assistance to gaushalas and distributed 15.10 crore rupees in dividends to dairy cooperative members.
