Kolkata Metro Records Highest-Ever Monthly Passenger Count
The Kolkata Metro had a super busy September!
More people than ever before rode the train, a record 2.25 crore passengers.
This was because of the big Puja festival and the new Green Line.
People started riding the metro even before the main festival days.
One day, almost 10 lakh people used the metro, the highest daily count ever.
The metro carried over 75 lakh passengers in the last week of September.
More people traveled this year compared to last year, setting a new record for metro ridership.
Kolkata Metro transported over 2.25 crore passengers in September.
This is the highest monthly passenger count in the metro's history.
Last year's September count was 1.98 crore passengers.
The record was partly due to the Puja festival.
