Delhi Police Arrest Youth Congress Worker Over Amit Shah Graffiti
Delhi Police said someone wrote a message against Amit Shah on a government office wall.
The message reportedly said, “Amit Shah Shame.”
The wall was at the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police in New Delhi.
Police identified the accused as a 27-year-old Indian Youth Congress worker named Karan.
He was arrested in Jharkhand on Friday.
The police registered a case under a law protecting public property from defacement.
A court later granted Karan bail.
Police also gave him a formal notice under that law.
Delhi Police registered an FIR over alleged graffiti targeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The words “Amit Shah Shame” were allegedly spray-painted near the entrance to the DCP New Delhi office.
The accused, identified as 27-year-old Karan, was arrested in Jharkhand on Friday.
Police booked him under Section 3 of the Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Property Act.
Karan was later granted bail and served a notice under the defacement law.
