Lucknow Family Accuses Police of Mockery Before Suicide
A young man named Prakhar Gupta died by suicide after having problems at home and with the police.
His family says the police made a mean joke about him and didn't help when his wife's family came to their house and hurt them.
The police said they wouldn't listen to Prakhar's side of the story unless he was put in a blue drum or thrown in a ditch.
Prakhar's family is very sad and upset.
They want the police to do something about it.
The family is going to talk to the police chief to ask for help.
Prakhar Gupta, 27, died by suicide after months of domestic disputes and alleged police inaction.
Family claims police officer SHO Shrikant Rai mocked Prakhar, saying he would only be heard if 'stuffed into a blue drum or thrown into a ditch.'
Tensions escalated on October 13 when Priya's relatives allegedly assaulted Prakhar and his mother at their home.
Family alleges police refused to register an FIR and ignored injuries sustained by Prakhar, his mother, and his father.
Prakhar's mental state deteriorated after the police incident, leading to his suicide two days later.
