Ramayana VFX Preview Wins Praise From Exhibitors At Expo
Ramayana is a new movie starring Ranbir Kapoor and several other actors.
It is planned as a very large two-part story.
At a film exhibition in Chennai, some exhibitors watched 15 minutes of private footage.
They were not allowed to record it or use their phones.
The preview showed unusual creatures, including a one-eyed daitya and a bear-like creature.
One exhibitor said the movie’s visual effects looked as impressive as those in big Hollywood films.
The presentation also showed some making-of material and ended with the movie’s trailer.
The first part is expected to come out internationally on November 6, 2026.
In India, the producers are aiming for a Diwali release, with the second part planned for Diwali 2027.
A private 15-minute Ramayana preview was screened for exhibitors at Big Cine Expo in Chennai on August 18.
The footage reportedly showed unreleased visuals, including a one-eyed daitya and a bear-like creature.
An exhibitor praised the film’s ambition and compared its VFX with Hollywood productions such as The Lord of the Rings.
The presentation also included parts of a making-of video and ended with Ramayana’s trailer, released on July 30.
Ramayana is planned as a two-part epic, with international release set for November 6, 2026, and an India release targeted for Diwali.
