Archer Jadhav uses Shane Watson's Winning Mindset for Asian Games

An archer from India named Sahil Jadhav is getting ready for a big sports event called the Asian Games, which will be held in Japan.

To help him stay calm and focused, he started reading a book called 'The Winner's Mindset' by Shane Watson, a famous Australian cricketer.

At first, he just wanted the book to keep him from spending too much time on his phone.

But the book also taught him useful ideas about handling pressure and staying focused during competitions.

Becoming a top archer was not easy for Sahil.

He started archery when he was 19 years old and waited seven years to win his first national medal, which was a gold in 2024.

After that, he won the individual title at the World University Games and a bronze medal at an Archery World Cup event in Shanghai.

Sahil thinks the Indian team sometimes makes small mistakes when they feel pressure, and this has cost them bronze medals at three World Cups.

He practises at a special training centre run by India's Sports Authority, which he says has been a big reason for his success.
