South Western Railway Conducts Swachhata Pakhwada Cleanliness Drives

South Western Railway is holding a cleanliness campaign called Swachhata Pakhwada.

It started on October 1, 2026, and includes railway workers and passengers.

People have cleaned stations, trainside areas, offices, kitchens, waiting rooms, and washrooms.

They have also taken cleanliness pledges and planted 388 saplings.

The railway says it has transformed all 12 identified garbage-prone places.

Upcoming activities include removing unwanted posters and discouraging spitting.

The campaign will also teach people how to separate waste and manage it properly.

The goal is to keep railway places clean and encourage everyone to help.
