Xi Urges Anti‑Corruption, Modernisation Ahead of PLA Anniversary

Xi Jinping, the leader of China, told top officials that the army needs to fight corruption and become stronger.

He said the army’s new weapons and computers must help China win battles.

This talk happened before the army’s 99th birthday, a big celebration.

Experts say China is spending a lot of money on new technology for its army.

The U.S. thinks China is not planning to attack Taiwan in 2027, but wants to control it peacefully.

Xi also said the army should help reunite China with Taiwan and stop any plans for Taiwan to become independent.

The army’s defence minister said the army is a strong tool for this goal.
