Oli claims Gen Z protests were pre-planned
Former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli of Nepal said that the big protests last year, led by young people called Generation Z, were not a surprise but were planned for a long time.
These protests happened because people were upset about the economy, corruption, and the government.
The protests got very big, and some people even set fire to government buildings.
More than 76 people died during the protests.
Oli's government fell, and now there is an investigation about how the government handled the protests.
Oli says that similar protests in other countries like Sri Lanka and Bangladesh showed that this was not just a random event.
Nepal is going to have elections next year to choose a new government.
Former PM KP Sharma Oli claims Gen Z-led protests were pre-planned, not spontaneous.
Protests erupted in September over economic stagnation, corruption, and political elites.
