Laksha Kumkumarchana Performed at Tiruchanoor Temple Ahead of Brahmotsavams
A special prayer ceremony called Laksha Kumkumarchana was held at a temple dedicated to Goddess Padmavathi in Tiruchanoor.
This prayer involves offering a special red powder called kumkuma to the Goddess's idol while chanting her name one hundred thousand times.
It's a way to ask for her blessings for a big festival called Brahmotsavams, which is about to start.
The ceremony lasted for many hours and many people participated.
After this, another ritual called Ankurarpanam officially began the preparations for the Brahmotsavams.
The main festival will last for nine days and will feature various processions and ceremonies.
The annual Laksha Kumkumarchana ritual was performed at the Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru Temple in Tiruchanoor on Sunday.
This sacred ceremony involves offering kumkuma to the Goddess's idol while chanting her name one lakh times.
