West Bengal Garment Meet Aims for Rs 1,500 Crore Business
The West Bengal Garment Manufacturers and Dealers Association (WBGMDA) is hosting a big event called the 59th Garment Meet and B2B Expo.
It's happening over three days from 5th to 7th January at Science City in Kolkata.
More than 1,000 brands from all over the world are showing their clothes for kids, men, and women.
The event is expected to create a lot of business, worth about Rs 1,500 crore.
Important people like the fire minister and the deputy mayor of Kolkata helped start the event.
The president of WBGMDA said this event shows how strong and important the garment industry is in West Bengal.
