NHAI Invites Bids to Complete Kagal-Satara NH-48 Upgrade

A government highways agency wants to finish widening part of NH-48 in Maharashtra.

The road section runs between Kagal and Satara.

The remaining work covers about 65.5 kilometers.

The project is expected to cost nearly Rs 995 crore, excluding GST.

Companies can compete to build the road through an online bidding process.

The chosen company must finish the work within two years.

It must also maintain the road for 10 years.

The documents do not say exactly how much travel time the upgrade will save.
