University of Madras Staff to Receive Delayed Salaries
Imagine a school called the University of Madras.
The people who work there, like teachers, were supposed to get paid at the end of the month.
But, because the school didn't have a boss (a Vice-Chancellor) and the government gave them less money, they didn't get paid on time.
The workers started a protest.
Finally, the government said the workers will get their salaries on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
The school is talking about ways to get more money, like having more students.
The government had to cut some spending.
