Yadav urges Congress role in Delhi’s 2047 Master Plan

Delhi is making plans for how the city should develop by 2047.

The Delhi Development Authority plans to ask 20 stakeholders for their ideas.

Congress leader Devender Yadav wants Congress to be included in those discussions.

He says Congress has experience from running Delhi for 15 years.

Yadav says that period produced a cleaner, greener city with better civic facilities.

He says development later slowed because of disagreements involving the previous AAP government, the Centre and the lieutenant governor.

He also says Delhi now faces flooding, pollution, damaged roads and poor public transport.

He wants the DDA to hear from former Congress ministers, lawmakers and other senior leaders.
