Shivamogga Youth Marathon to Promote HIV Law and Donation
College students in Shivamogga will take part in a marathon for International Youth Day.
The run will happen on September 18 at 7 a.m.
Students aged 17 to 25 can participate.
The marathon will teach people about HIV/AIDS and where to find support.
It will also discuss unfair treatment and stigma faced by people living with HIV.
Organisers will explain an HIV/AIDS law passed in 2017.
Students will learn about sexually transmitted infections and the free helpline 1097.
The programme will also encourage people to understand the importance of donating blood.
A district-level International Youth Day programme in Shivamogga will include a marathon on September 18.
