OpenAI Introduces Fees for Sora Video Generations
OpenAI's cool video-making tool called Sora used to be free for everyone to use as much as they wanted.
But now, they've started charging a little bit of money if you want to make a lot of videos each day.
If you use up your free videos, you can buy more for $4, which gets you 10 extra videos.
This is because it costs OpenAI a lot of money to let people make so many videos for free.
They are also making the watermarks on AI videos more obvious.
Soon, they might charge for other features too.
OpenAI has started charging for additional video generations on its Sora app for iOS.
Users can purchase bundles of 10 extra video generations for $4 (approximately ₹350).
Daily free generation limits have been set at 30 for free, ChatGPT Plus, and Teams users, and 100 for Pro subscribers.
The change is due to sustainability concerns and the cost of offering unlimited free generation.
OpenAI is also enhancing Sora's watermark system and exploring monetization for its 'Cameo' feature.
