Father arrested for drowning pregnant daughter over social stigma
This story is about an 18-year-old woman in India.
She was not married, and she was going to have a baby.
In some places, people can be unkind about this, and families may worry about what others think.
Police say the young woman's father was very worried about this.
Police say he and a relative took her to a big river called the Chambal River.
Police say they drowned her in the river.
The police arrested the father and the relative.
Now the police are talking to them to find out exactly what happened.
